Classes 

Yoga:

Yoga classes will be deep and meditative, offering long holdings and encouraging inner peace. There will be 2 yoga classes offered each day which will accommodate the use of chairs or props if desired.  All levels will be welcome and sufficiently challenged in all the classes. There will be a questionnaire for all attendees so to tailer all offerings to meet everyone’s needs.

Meditation:

Meditation classes will be offered daily. There will be a silent sunrise meditation and other opportunities for meditation. No experience necessary. Basic instructions will be provided and a meditation discussion group may also be offered.

Laughter Yoga:

Laughter yoga involves laughing, clapping and breathing. It is a very powerful practice that is so very healing. It is a body-mind practice. What the body does, the mind will follow.  If the body is acting happy and playful, the mind will also become happy. Very simple, very powerful. He he he

Kirtan:

There will be a Kirtan on Saturday night. There will also be some opportunities for introductory chanting and mantra workshops if desired.

What is Kirtan?

Kirtan is a call and response type of singing that is based in the Hindu bhakti tradition. It involves the repetition of various mantras, or combinations of words, in a song or melodic form. By repeating these powerful phrases, the effect is to still the mind and make it easy to experience meditation. Kirtan is a community activity and all are welcome. It makes no difference if a person has musical experience, experience in Indian music, or whether they think they have a good voice or not. All that is required is an open heart.

Sound Workshop:

Sound, singing, and chanting are cornerstones of ritual in almost every tradition in the world. Music has the ability to change our state of mind, our emotional disposition, even our physical well-being. Everyone, trained musician or not, has the ability to experience and utilize vibration as a healing force. This workshop will explore various easy to use techniques to incorporate sound in a healing way. No prior experience is necessary. No formal musical experience is necessary.

Sacred Circle Dance:

Gentle, flowing, simple movements together in a group. Sacred Circle dance is a great love of Cindy Brown’s and she will so enjoying sharing this lovely, ancient, tradition of dancing as a group. No need to be a good dancer-very easy.
